Sweet Light - harmony patterson

In my heart, a flame still burns,

For the one who's no longer here.

Though our love has taken turns,

The memories I hold dear.

I knew our time was fleeting,

But I couldn't help but feel

The way my heart was beating,

When in his presence, so surreal.

We laughed and loved and dreamed,

Of a future bright and true.

But fate had other schemes,

And now I'm left with just a few.

The ache inside still lingers,

For the love that used to be.

But I know my heart still remembers,

The way he once loved me.

So I hold onto those moments,

As I move on with my life.

And though our love is dormant,

I will always cherish that sweet, sweet light.
